N. Brad Carter, P.E. began his career in 1959 after graduating from the University of Tennessee with a degree in civil engineering and architectural studies. He developed a well- rounded background with extensive experience in steel roof systems as a structural engineer with assignments on the AISC Joist Committee and as a representative to the Steel Joint Institute Board of Directors. He founded the Consulting Engineering Company known as Carter- Miller-Sansing, LTD in February 1969 that has provided architectural and structural engineering designs around the world and has acquired multi-state licenses from New York to Florida and west to Texas and Missouri. The practice has offered a problem solving 50 year experience including a wealth of aged and historic structures dating back to 1857 Grist Mill at Dunn’s Falls, MS. With extensive experience in concrete, timber, cold-formed steel and structural steel structures Mr. Carter developed a wide range of residential and commercial construction including the art of composite architectural engineering. Brad Carter has served as an expert witness in construction litigation offering his professional analysis based upon investigations in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.
